The Story

Why I Created Mental Chec

Mental Chec began as a small advocacy platform on Instagram — created from a deep desire to educate, uplift, and normalize conversations around mental health. I wanted to show the many different ways mental health can look and feel, and to give people a language for what they're experiencing.

Even in those early days, I knew Mental Chec was meant to grow into something bigger.

Today, Mental Chec is a space where individuals can feel seen, heard, and validated — no matter what they are navigating. In a world where it's easy to disconnect, shut down, or go through the motions, Mental Chec exists to remind people to stay aware of their emotional, mental, and physical state.

It's about learning yourself, understanding your needs, and embracing the importance of checking in with your inner world. My hope is that this space continues to support people in staying grounded, connected, and emotionally present.
